physical therapist Karl GlickKarl Glick, PT is a 1977 graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Physical Therapy. He began his career working with the late Dr. Charles Henning developing skills in sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. Dr. Henning was on the leading edge of sports medicine developing innovative techniques for anterior cruciate reconstruction and meniscus repair. Together, Karl and Dr. Henning co-authored several published research articles on the subjects of ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. Along with Greg Sims, athletic trainer from Southeast High School, they developed a knee injury prevention program in 1982 that was decades ahead of current programs. Using his knowledge and thirty-two years of experience, he has united a group of very talented therapists who strive to provide excellent patient care in multiple orthopedic disciplines. Karl is licensed with the State Board of Healing Arts in Kansas, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy and Kansas Physical Therapy Associations.

Steven Vequist Physical TherapistSteven Vequist, PT has twenty-eight years of experience as an orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapist. He attended Pittsburg State University and graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 1982. He worked with Dr. Charles Henning and developed his skills in sports medicine and orthopedics, especially knee rehabilitation and injury prevention. He co-authored several published research articles with Dr. Henning about meniscus repair and injury prevention. Since 1993, Steve has been an adjunct professor teaching biomechanics at the Wichita State University Physical Therapy Department. His area of interest includes shoulder, knee, ankle and foot injuries. Steve is licensed with the State Board of Healing Arts in Kansas and is a member of the American Physical Therapy and Kansas Physical Therapy Associations.

Jill AustinJill Austin, MPT has been with Physical Therapy Services since 2004. She graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 1998 and a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2000. She also became a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2000. Jill has a special interest in the back, pelvis, and hip areas. Jill has had additional training in manual therapy of the spine and nervous system through Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars group. She believes strongly in teaching practical solutions for daily activity modification as well as detailed, individualized home exercise programs. Jill is licensed with the State Board of Healing Arts in Kansas, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy and Kansas Physical Therapy Associations.

 

 

Julie WaltemathJulie Waltemath, DPT started working at Physical Therapy Services in July of 2008. Julie received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in 2005, and graduated with her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 2008. Julie was given the Outstanding Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Student Award when she graduated. Her areas of interest include general orthopedics, spine rehabilitation and manual therapy. Julie is licensed with the State Board of Healing Arts in Kansas, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy and Kansas Physical Therapy Associations.
